Wendell Smith
Pastor Wendell Smith and his wife, Gini, founded the City Church of Seattle in 1992 with 21 people. The ethnically diverse congregation has grown into a church of thousands. It is marked by a spirit of faith, grace, reconciliation and generosity. Pastor Wendell is a member of the Apostolic Team of Ministers Fellowship International (MFI) with Pastor Dick Iverson and also serves on the Board of Church Growth International (CGI) with Dr. Yonggi Cho.
Pastor Wendell Smith has a BA in religion from Northwest Nazarene College (now University), and was listed in Who's Who of American Colleges and Universities in 1972. He served for twenty years as an associate with Dick Iverson on the staff of Bible Temple in Portland, Oregon. He also traveled and preached to thousands of young people for 5 years across America with the Dragonslayer New Generation Seminars.
